Beginning his career early on, taking on every job from paperboy, pizza delivery boy to underwater ceramic detailer (a dish washer in a cafe), Jay’s adult working life started with selling advertising on the back of shopping dockets and then later as a Mortgage Broker before he spent three years travelling the world with his best mate and working in a ski shop in Canada and real estate agency in London.

Returning to Australia and commencing further work in mortgage broking in Sydney, Jay was introduced to the work of Dr. John Demartini – world-leading human behaviour specialist – and he attended several of his seminars, including The Breakthrough Experience®, Prophecy I and Prophecy II and . Developing a profound understanding of human behaviour and skills in empowering people to get clear on their goals, Jay became professionally trained as a Facilitator in The Demartini Method®. Jay rediscovered his love of woodworking as a young boy, and made an affirmative decision to take his life in a new direction. Utilizing principles in human values, Jay restructured his life. In 2008, Jay undertook a Building & Construction Certificate IV – a training he completed in 2010 – and soon after received his Carpentry licence. In 2011 Jay then founded his first business The Maintenance Boys, an exceptionally professional national property maintenance services company. A strong leader with a clear, defined direction and and a value on collaboration and communication with clients to determine their needs and wants. Jay’s inspiration as a business innovator came to after a personal journey of determination and dedication to outstanding results.

Jay evolved the growth of The Maintenance Boys into a new bigger business The Space Invaders Fitout Co., founded in 2015 to service the needs of businesses by offering functional office fitouts in Sydney Melbourne and Brisbane. Jay has combined his experience in the corporate arena with his mission, instilling his creativity and leadership within the companies and catering to the needs of his clients, going above and beyond what other companies in his industry deliver. Adopting an individual style in business – from multiple options for clients and physical appearance of his workers, to providing a 24/7 service to minimize disruptions for his clients during business operation hours.

Jay carefully selects every staff member, building a high quality and reliable team. Extending his strengths in project and team managing through every arm of the business, Jay devises original, logical and strategic plans for completing jobs effectively and efficiently – and that also save clients money.

With Jay’s work going beyond New South Wales and serving clients nationally including Vodafone, Audi, Volkswagen, Kinokuniya Books, Zimmerman, Starcom Mediavest, Publicis Mojo, Binyan Studios, Infinity2, United Voice, CBRE, Jones Lang La Salle and Munich RE and a medical centre with 100 outlets around Australia, Jay has exceptional standards on excellence reflected in the company’s track record of success.
